Accessibility statement
We want everyone to be able to read this site and reach us from it, whatever device or assistive technology they use. This page explains the standard we build to, what that means here, and what to do if something is in your way.
Our standard
This site is built to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA, with the WCAG 2.2 additions applied wherever they cost nothing. The same standard applies to the client sites we build, and we publish a statement like this one on each of them.
What that looks like here
- Every page works with a keyboard alone. A skip link is the first thing a keyboard user reaches, and every link, button, and expandable question shows a visible focus outline.
- Headings follow a real hierarchy, landmarks (navigation, main, footer) are marked up so screen readers can jump between them, and every image has a description.
- Text and controls meet the minimum contrast ratios for body text, large text, and interface boundaries.
- The layout reflows to a single column on small screens, down to 320 pixels wide, without sideways scrolling, and pinch-zoom is never blocked.
- Animations, including the roots that draw themselves and the cards that rise into view, are switched off when your system asks for reduced motion. Nothing is hidden behind an animation that did not run.
- The site is available in English and Spanish as separate pages, each with the correct language declared, so screen readers pronounce them properly.
- The cookie banner has two equal buttons, both reachable by keyboard, and it never blocks the page. Google Analytics counts visits without cookies unless you choose Accept all, and the footer link "Cookie settings" reopens the banner at any time.
Known limitations
- The client screenshots in the work section are images of other websites. Their descriptions summarize what is shown; the text inside them is not readable by a screen reader. Each card names the site and links to it.
- Links to client sites, ECTM, and michaelzoz.com lead to pages we do not control on this domain. We hold our own sites to the same standard, but their content is separate.
- PDF documents linked from proposal pages are produced for print and may not be fully tagged. Ask us for an accessible version and we will provide one.
